Somewhere I read that there are actually some company’s that are manufacturing carb friendly bread. Normal bread usually contains 13g of carbohydrates per slice but this company has successfully created a specific bread with less than 3g of carbohydrates which is quite insane to think about. Carbohydrates are necessary in our every day life but there always need to be a limit to the amount of processed sugar that we intake on a daily basis.

I just wanted to say that this is a truly great article. I absolutely loved it. I learned a ton. I mean, I was aware that stuff like bread, most fruits (apart from berries), and, of course, all of the sweet junk don’t quite fit the keto approach. But I was not aware that stuff like legumes, beans, and rice are not appropriate for ket.  Sausages and deep-fried stuff is something that I don’t typically consume anyway but that’s also great to be aware of. Lastly, I loved that drinks-avoid-list; that one’s really useful.

Again, I really appreciate the article. Thank you.

A few years ago it was quite a surprise for me, that there were some fruits we should avoid. And bananas are among them as you mentioned. But I have recently discovered that there are some we should avoid mixing. For example, we should avoid watermelons, muskmelons, cantaloupe, and honeydews with any other fruits.

    We never stop learning!

Very astute comment Ann.  You are correct.  A number of fruits are loaded with sugars to such a degree they can adversely affect a person in a state of ketosis.
